Stewjoni Near-Human traits
Stewjoni are a sentient Near-Human species native to the Mid-Rim planet of Stewjon.
+ Common Physical Traits
At a glance Stewjoni are nearly identical to humans. They have similar average height and build range though tend to run a little shorter on average then standard humans. Red Hair (ranging from dark auburns to brassy coppers) and light colored eyes (typically blue or green though gray is not unheard of) are dominant traits. Stewjoni on a whole possess excessively pale skin that is particularly susceptible to damage from UV light.
Not readily obvious are differences in a Stewjoni's teeth in comparison to a human. Due to the terrain of stewjon being unideal for large scale agriculture and farming, they evolved to possess carnassial teeth to deal with a primarily meat based diet
The most obvious physical difference is only noticeable in darkness or low light. Melanin in Stewjoni individuals have a faintly bioluminescent quality. Due to it's paleness the amount in unmarked skin isn't high enough to be noticeable, however areas where melanin is more highly concentrated (such as in birth marks, freckles, and in the irises of the eye) the area produces a faint but distinct glow.

Stewjoni have two livers. This allows them to process and filter toxins quicker then a standard human (this includes things such as traditional poisons and alcoholic beverages). Because of this they have a small stomach and intestinal track which requires a higher required intake of water, and generally smaller but more frequent meals.
While most Stewjoni still prefer to cook their meals their body is also better equipped to digest raw proteins, though they do have some intolerances to starches. This rarely leads to illness but they receive little nutritional benefit.
Possibly due to possessing a flight capable ancestor, Stewjoni typically have bones that are not completely hollow but are lighter and less dense then an average human's and possess loose and very flexible joints that lead them to be naturally very nimble and acrobatic. They are more susceptible to their bone structure and joints being damaged but tend to heal quickly as long as proper medical attention is sought.

+ Instinctual Traits
Stewjoni don't experience vertigo and in all but a few individuals naturally do not fear height but rather seek it out. On their native planet of Stewjon most settlements are built into or are on top of towering cliffs. They are at their most comfortable in these types of high places and are skilled climbers. They rarely use any equipment for climbing and the practice of using safety equipment is looked down upon except for the very young.
Evolved from carnivores, Stewjoni have a natural hunting instinct and tendency towards aggression. The aggressive instinct can very easily shift to a highly protective one instead.
